Sandals Grande St. Lucian Spa and Beach Resort

“A tropical paradise”

This holiday was fantastic! All inclusive with class - good food in most restuarants (Japanese and Grande Italian at night were not so good in terms of the quality of meals served) - the French restuarant at the Regency site and the Pier / Marcos at the Halcyon plus the Barefoot by the Sea were all super... It was lovely to have such well tended gardens and grounds - the beach was wonderful - the weather was a bit mixed but that did not spoil being in such a fab resort. The one thing that let the place down was the entertainment which was not well organised - the seating at the grande terrace was minimal near the dancing - and the Karaoke / Mr and Mrs quiz night were very poor standard in terms of organisation (the quiz was outright obscence which was not the flavour of the place at all!!)

Hot tips from us:
1) book the French restaurant - Le Toc - at the Regency as soon as you get there as space is limited.
2) Eat a champagne breakfast as often as you can in the Grande Italian - slow but wonderful.
3) Go on the 30min helicopter tour of the island - spectacular (and not for the faint hearted)
4) Go to the rainforest and be wow'd by nature
5) Make use of the all inclusive watersports even if you haven't tried them before - they give lessons and the sailing on the Hobycat was super as was the snorkelling - like being in a tropical fish tank!
6) Don't work your way through all the cocktails in one day (they number 40 plus) - you will be sick!! Make sure you try a 'BBC' with fresh banana - Mmmmm

ENJOY - we did!
