Sandals Regency la Toc Golf Resort & Spa in St. Lucia will debut four lavish Sunset Bluff Million Dollar Luxury Villas with Private Pool & Whirlpool on July 1, 2008. The new villas, which will combine 800 square feet of living space and 400 square feet of outdoor space to make one dramatic and very indulgent private villa, offer couples the epitome of the new, Luxury Included™ vacation Sandals Resorts introduced last year.

“We are committed to capturing the imagination of guests with suites that provide not only the best elements of comfort, privacy, service and opulence, but that offer settings that are truly awe-inspiring,” Sandals Resorts CEO, Adam Stewart said.

The new Sunset Bluff Million Dollar Luxury Villas with Private Pool & Whirlpool are cantilevered above the resort’s highest point, ensuring an unhindered, full 180-degree view of the sparkling Caribbean Sea and lush surrounding island of St. Lucia. A three-level outdoor sundeck that is accessible by either the living room or bedroom captures refreshing sea breezes and features a glass waterfall that spills into a zero-entry plunge pool and private whirlpool. The setting is among the most dramatic in Sandals Resorts’ collection of luxury suites that are also located in Jamaica, Antigua and The Bahamas. The four Sunset Bluff Million Dollar Luxury Villas will be accessible by foot or golf cart, and are all butler category suites to ensure the highest, most personalized level of service.

Luxurious in-room amenities in the villas include: French-polished, handmade mahogany furniture; an oversized sectional in the living room; sleigh bed featuring a leather upholstered headboard and footboard, covered in a custom-embroidered duvet and Egyptian cotton sheets; Turkish saturnia tile; and two, 40” plasma televisions.

“These suites are one of a kind. They take even further the new luxury experience we launched last year and best illustrate our commitment to unprecedented levels of service and amenities. Our Million Dollar Villas are the crowning glory of a collection of spectacular suites that include enhanced food & beverage, lavish spas, luxury amenities and exclusive partnerships,” Stewart said.

“Great Honeymoon Location”

Sandals Regency St. Lucia Golf Resort and Spa

My husband and I went to the Regency for our honeymoon for two weeks and we're in our mid twenties. We both enjoyed ourselves and would go back to the Island again. I would stay at the Regency again though my husband would like to try the Grande.

We'll start with the Island itself first. The Island was great with lots of diverse environments and experiences. The weather was okay when we were there. We got the tail end of a tropical storm while we were there which let to a lot of choppy water but it was still nice and hot with lots of people still ending up looking like lobsters. When you go through the airport to the bus definitely try to avoid the men grabbing your bag in hopes for a tip as the bus is really just outside the door. The ride to the hotel was okay a bit bumpy but nothing too bad. You won't get motion sick unless you are
prone to it already. The hotel was great and we were greeted with towels, drinks and snacks. We were upgraded from a honeymoon premium room to an Ocean view room. The upgrade was a bit of a trade off. We were in a quieter location with a roomier space and a small fridge but we lost out on the plasma TV and new renovation of the honeymoon premium rooms. In the end we enjoyed our room. I won't go over everything else but just list a few points that have come up often in other reviews.

1. Nothing on the resort is that far away and if you're really lazy there are shuttles that will pick you up.

2. We did not find the room moldy.

3. We did not find any bugs except one dead one which was killed by some sort of fumigation/bug spray they use.

4. Sometimes there were birds around eating off plates but that is just a by product of eating outdoors. And the serving staff generally discourages them and clean up tables pretty quickly.

5. Some people/places are on island time, we found mostly for dinners. But you are so full all the time anyway that if you have to wait a bit longer for dinner it is not a big deal.
